Cape to Cape 2014 - a race report

I know that Bill and Peter Davis participated in the Cape to Cape MTB event again this year and other members of the Ride_Group community have participated over the years.

By all reports the Cape To Cape is an extremely well organised event. It attracts around 1,300 participants including Australia's best mountain bikers from interstate. There is some brilliant video footage of daily highlights accessible from their web site.

Of course, many riders participates for the fun and achievement but there is also some serious racing going on.

My son, Dave, was one of the serious competitors and represented the Dome Coffees Cycling Team. Dave has done the Cape to Cape previously but this is the first time he completed a daily race report.

It is good reading and funny. I've no idea where he got such a good writing style from (it wasn't me!!)..

Click on the following link for Dave's report.

Bill / Peter do you have a report on the event that you would like to share?

We'll have the usual Maylands Railway Station start at 8:00 am then hook up at the Narrows. The ride will start from the Narrows Bridge (North Side - where the bike path goes under the freeway bridge) at 8:30 am.
